Champions League: Borussia Dortmund - Malaga
In the first leg Borussia played in Spain and the result was 0-0 but was a very nice game, a lot of chances to score. Dortmund is a team who attacks all game long, they don't know very well to defend. Borussia plays much better in Europe than in Germany. They have everything they need to make the semis, but they will need experience to get one step further. In my opinion, they have showed most in the Champions League so far. They don't have problems with injuries except only Mats Hummels and Jakub Blaszczykowski who are the only injured players. Dortmund rested their key players on the weekend so they will be fresh and ready to win the game. Coach Jurgen Klopp said: „We've got to keep our calm and we need the fans for that. I would like for everybody who comes here to bring more positive energy than they have ever had in their lives". When 80.000 fans are singing, the players have the self-belief in them which this truely great coach has inflicted upon them, they look simply unstoppable.
Malaga played in the weekend at away against Real Sociedad, and that game ended 2-4. Malaga coach Manuel Pellegrini was not in Dortmund as he returned to his native Chile after his father passed away at the weekend. He is due to arrive in Dortmund in time for kick-off, and will find a team ready to go the extra mile for him. Malaga will be without suspended duo Ittura-Robson Weligton.
Dortmund is the only team that has not lost a game in the competition this season, while Malaga have won just 1 game away from home. Dortmund have been very solid at home this season in the Champions League, beating teams like Real Madrid, Manchester City and Shakhtar Donetsk. Malaga still have the hope because if they score in Dortmund, Borussia will have to win. I don't believe that Malaga have the quality to play another close match. Dortmund showed their power against Real Madrid and we can't compare Malaga with Real. Dortmund are very very strong, the bookmakers know that and because of it the odds are such they are.
