Wilshere out of Bayern decider
Jack Wilshere will miss Wednesday's Champions League round of 16 decider against Bayern Munich, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed.
The midfielder picked up an ankle injury in the 2-1 defeat by bitter rivals Tottenham at White Hart Lane on 3rd March and is also out of England's World Cup qualifier double-header in San Marino and Montenegro, as well as Saturday's Premier League trip to Swansea. The north Londoners trail Jupp Heynckes' runaway Bundesliga leaders 3-1 from the first leg at the Emirates and can be backed at 25/1 to qualify with bet365, while the Gunners are also quoted at 200/1 in the Champions League outright betting. Wenger said: "Wilshere has an inflamed ankle, the other ankle. He will be out for Bayern, Swansea and for England. "Hopefully for the Premier League, he will only miss one game because of the international break." England face San Marino on 22nd March and then travel to Montenegro four days later for a game which could decide which country tops Group H and secures an automatic place at the 2014 World Cup finals in Brazil.
