Wigan have Bullard's backing
Former Wigan Athletic midfielder Jimmy Bullard believes the Latics will be too good for Championship side Millwall in Saturday's FA Cup semi-final at Wembley.
The 34-year-old played a key role in Wigan's rise from the footballing basement and insists his old club are not the big-game novices that they have been made out to be in the run-up to the match. Bullard was part of the Wigan team that earned promotion to the Premier League in 2005 and featured against Manchester United in the League Cup final a year later. Wigan are 15/2 with bet365 to beat Millwall 2-0 and can be backed at 9/2 to go on and win next month's FA Cup final. Bullard insists: "I'm made up for them and I'm sure they can do it this weekend. Losing to United in Cardiff hurt a lot but the experience was unbelievable. "This is why I now want those Wigan boys to go one better against Millwall. Wigan should be too good but it's a semi-final and anything can happen at this level."
