Twente's woes to continue at improving Zwolle

Eredivisie

FC Twente are odds-on for their trip to Zwolle tomorrow afternoon but Paul Robinson thinks that viewers tuning into Betfair Live Video at 15:30 could be in for a shock result.

I'm staying in Holland after VVV got a well-earned draw at Heerenveen to sink our 1.59 lay yesterday. Hopefully luck will be on our side and we can go double Dutch.

Zwolle were promoted to this division after winning the Eerste Divisie last term. After a poor start that saw them go six without victory and earn just eight points from a possible 36, they have started to turn things around, losing just two of their last nine matches and climbing to within one point of safety.

Art Langeler's side suffered a disappointing 3-0 loss last time out at NAC Breda but they were reduced to 10 men with the score at 0-0 just before half time and after the opposition scored the resulting penalty the game was pretty much a write off. Before that they'd lost just one of eight in the league and that again came in a match where they picked up a red card.

At their home of the IJsseldelta Stadion, Zwolle have avoided defeat in three of their last four, including a 2-0 victory over NAC Breda. They also kept a clean sheet against VVV and restricted Heerenveen to one.

FC Twente had made a bright start to their campaign but they've dropped back in recent weeks, winning just two of their last half dozen, including a couple of defeats. They are now third in the league and are out of Europe after failing to pick up a single victory in the group phase.

Steve, or should I say Schteve McClaren is back in charge for his second spell as manager and he must be concerned by the fact that they've failed to win in three. A 4-2 home defeat last time against Utrecht could possibly be excused by the red card they received but they were already 1-0 down at the time. Before that they'd drawn 0-0 with both RKC Waalwijk and Feyenoord, and with the seven goal Nacer Chadli sidelined through injury, their attack is somewhat weakened.

Twente have won one of their last five on the road so their price of 1.84 away at an improving Zwolle is just too short for me and that's why I'm making them my lay of the day.
