Every weekend, four of betting.betfair's football writers will contribute one selection each from the top four leagues in English football, giving you, the readers, an exciting Fixed Odds Multiple option...

Swansea 1.8 v QPR 4.6; The Draw 3.5

Though this kind of statement generally backfires, leaving egg everywhere, I feel confident enough to tempt fate by making it anyway: there hasn't been a statistically sounder Premier League bet all season than under 2.5 goals in Swansea v QPR.

Swansea have gone four hours and 40 minutes without scoring, a run married to Michu's longest lean streak since - six games - and the sale of Danny Graham. They haven't lost much though due to their defensive strength, keeping four clean sheets in seven and contesting three goalless draws in six.

QPR produce even less thrills with three 0-0 draws in four Premier League matches. Their past five have featured just three goals in total and they have only scored two goals in their last six. Loic Remy's return to training after rumours of a two-month layoff is uplifting but he won't be fully fit.

Finally, while these clubs have conjured 0-5 and 3-0 scorelines in their last two Loftus Road clashes, they don't generate the same excitement at the Liberty Stadium. The four meetings there since 2008 have delivered just four goals, and never more than two in one game.

Michael Lintorn's selection: Back Under 2.5 Goals @ 1.72

Huddersfield 3.9 v Cardiff 1.95; Draw 3.25

There's rarely ever any worth in over-complicating matters when it comes to football betting, and quite often the obvious stares you right in the face. This is one of those occasions.

Cardiff are a massive 10 points clear at the top of the Championship table. They are there on merit; they are the best side in the division and they are easily the most consistent outfit. Away from home they've taken 19 points from the last 21 available to them, beating clubs like Blackpool, Leicester, Blackburn, Birmingham, and Leeds in that sequence.

Now they face way out of form Huddersfield and yet you can get better than even money on the exchange for a Cardiff victory, and just less than even money on the Fixed Odds platform. The Terriers have won just one of their last 14 league games. Cardiff's odds are extremely generous. Get on.

Mike Norman's selection: Back Cardiff @ 1.95

Coventry City 1.85 v Yeovil Town 3.7; The Draw 3.6

Yeovil are flying at the moment and have won their last five games, moving to within touching distance of the play-offs in the process. Paddy Madden has hit 15 goals this term, and manager Gary Johnson has got this young, exciting team playing for him. It's a settled 11, that attack well, backed up by their record of 18 goals from their last eight matches.

Johnson has a decent unit, they play a 4-4-2 and their industrious midfield and ability to get behind teams might just play to the strengths of the Yeovil backers. Madden's pace up front and willingness to chase down lost causes will always keep me on-side at the moment.

Coventry might have a mental hangover from the midweek JPT home defeat to Crewe. Usually I take no notice of those games whatsoever, but they played in front of 31,000 at the Ricoh for that Northern Area semi-final first leg, and they got too excited. Although City enjoyed plenty of possession throughout the game, they got hit by three breakaway goals on the counter-attack and might be ripe for the taking here.

Alan Dudman's selection: Back Yeovil @ 3.7

Wycombe 2.45 v York 2.7; The Draw 3.1

Gareth Ainsworth's men seem generously priced, given their ascent in recent weeks to a position where they are poking their noses into the play-off picture. Not that the manager will. While such optimism is still on the premature side, eight wins and six clean sheets from 12 games, plus victory at Gillingham, speaks volumes for their improvement.

York, who are without a win in five, will surely find it hard to even extend their divisional high eight away draws. Wycombe striker Matt McClure has six goals in 11 games and will see this as a chance for more.

Ian Lamont's selection: Back Wycombe @ 2.45
