Former world number one Rafael Nadal will definitely miss the season-ending ATP World Tour Finals in London due to a knee injury. The Spanish left-hander has not taken  to the court since his shock second-round defeat to Lukas Rosol at Wimbledon in June and will not return to competitive action until next year.

Nadal confirmed: "I will hopefully resume my practice soon, since I am making good progress with my recovery from injury. "I am not ready to compete in time for these  events, so I will continue my recovery in Mallorca and work hard to be back as soon as possible." In Nadal's absence, Roger Federer is 3/1 with bet365 to win the Tour Finals for the seventh time in his illustrious career. 2008 champion Novak Djokovic is 7/4, while Andy Murray is 9/4 to top off a superb year by taking the title for the first time in front of a partisan home crowd.
