Suarez's Liverpool future in doubt

England - Premier League

Luis Suarez has cast a major shadow over his Liverpool future by revealing he is considering "a change of environment".

The Uruguay striker is currently serving a ban for biting Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic and this week admitted "it would be very difficult to say no" to Real Madrid. Speaking ahead of Uruguay's friendly with France in Montevideo on 5th June, the 26-year-old added: "I do not know when I'm going and I do not know if I'm staying." The £22.7million signing from Ajax intimated that his treatment by the English press had forced his hand on the matter, but denied he had opened talks about a move to Estadio Santiago Bernabeu. He added: "I have only words of thanks to the club, the fans of Liverpool. "But the treatment I received from the rest of England in recent weeks has been tough. "It [Liverpool] is a spectacular club, but they are aware of the way that the press treats me." Suarez scored 30 goals in 44 appearances for Liverpool last season. Liverpool are 28/1 with bet365 in the 2013-14 Premier League outright betting and 2/1 to secure a Premier League top-four finish.
