Spurs set to tame the Grizzlies again

 

San Antonio smashed Memphis on Sunday night and all eyes are on the Western Conference finals as the pair meet once again with the game screened on Betfair Live Video.  Sumeet Paul previews the action...

The San Antonio Spurs were effective at both ends of the court in the first meeting, as they sealed a 105-83 blowout win at the AT&T Center on Sunday.

 

Point guard Tony Parker led the charge with both points and assists, as his smart play on offence helped seal a franchise post-season record of 14 three-point shots  made.

 

In contrast, the Grizzlies struggled to get their game going inside the paint. Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph had been instrumental ahead of Sunday, but the latter was  restricted to just two points.

 

Memphis will be buoyed by the fact that they have trailed in both series in the postseason thus far, only to go on and win four straight games thereafter.

 

However, they are back in San Antonio on Tuesday night. The Spurs' ball movement was key last time out, and the likes of Danny Green, Matt Bonner and Kawhi Leonard  will hope to prosper from beyond the arc again.

 

At 1.48 San Antonio are strong favourites for this one, so value may be had in the points market considering these two went to overtime twice in the regular season and were split by just a few points.

 

Expect the Grizzlies to return with more intensity and energy to make it a closer game, but not enough to avoid falling 2-0 behind in this series.
