Snooker: Selby plans to hold his nerve
Mark Selby hopes he can control his nerves as he aims to become only the fourth man to win the Triple Crown by clinching the World Championship in Sheffield.
Only Steve Davis, Stephen Hendry and Mark Williams have won the big three titles - UK Championship, Masters and World Championship - in the same season. Selby has already won the first two tournaments and remains on course to clinch the third after beating Matthew Selt 10-4. He plays Barry Hawkins next and is 1/3 with bet365 to win the last-16 clash and 11/2 to go on and secure the World Championship. He said: "No matter how many times you come here you still get nervous, and I've been here seven times now. It's just a matter of going out there, relaxing and enjoying it as much as possible. That is when I seem to play my best snooker. "The trouble with me is that I probably put too much pressure on myself and I expect too much from myself which can send my game the wrong way."
