Snooker: Selby on target for triple crown
World number one Mark Selby is on course to complete a superb treble after beating Neil Robertson 10-6 in the final of the Masters at Alexandra Palace.
The 29-year-old from Leicester, who won the UK Championship in York last month, will complete the triple crown if he can emerge victorious at the World Championship in Sheffield in April and May. It was the third time Selby, 13/2 with bet365 to win the World Championship, had won the Masters following his successes in 2008 and 2010, and he cannot believe how well he is playing so soon after struggling with a neck injury. He said: "I was really happy with the way I played. I knew I had to play better and be more attacking. I seemed to do that in the first session but I was tired towards the end. "It's just unbelievable at the moment. A few months ago I had the neck injury and I didn't know if I was going to be playing again. Now I'm sitting here having won the UK and the Masters." Robertson is 6/1 to win the World Championship.
