Snooker: Dott looks forward to Murphy clash
Graeme Dott can't wait to play Shaun Murphy in the second round of the World Championship after edging to a 10-6 first-round victory over Peter Ebdon in a dour encounter at Sheffield's Crucible Theatre.
The 35-year-old Scot, who won the title in 2006, 12 months after Murphy lifted the trophy, is 13/8 with bet365 to win the second round clash and 33/1 to go on and clinch the tournament for a second time. Dott said: "I'm just delighted to win. It's always very tough against Peter. When he came from 6-2 down to 6-6 I was getting worried because the match was slipping away, then I won a massive frame to go 7-6. "I'm looking forward to playing Shaun, he plays the game the right way and we'll both have a go at everything."
