Snooker: Carter relishes Rocket clash
Ali Carter is looking forward to the chance of facing reigning champion Ronnie O'Sullivan in the second round of the World Championship.
Carter has twice lost to The Rocket in the Crucible final, in 2008 and 12 months ago, but the Essex potter hopes to catch O'Sullivan off-guard after his lengthy break from the game. The four-time world champion returned to the table after months away to defeat Marcus Campbell 10-4 in the first round and Carter hopes to cash in on his opponent's lack of match practice. "I'm looking forward to playing Ronnie," said Carter, who is 11/5 with bet365 to beat O'Sullivan and reach the quarter-finals. "I've had it twice in the final, so being in the second round isn't going to match up to being in a final. "I think I'd rather be playing him in the second round than the final, definitely. He could be a little bit off-colour - I don't think he's going to be."
