Skrill Holdings names new America boss
Online payments solutions provider Skrill Holdings Limited has announced the appointment of Neil Steinhardt to the post of Chief Executive Officer for its Skrill USA Incorporated subsidiary.
Skrill Holdings, which was known as Moneybookers until rebranding just over two years ago, revealed that Steinhardt previously worked for Vienna-based prepaid payment solutions firm Paysafecard.com Wertkarten AG as Managing Director of its Paysafecard.com USA Incorporated subsidiary and called his appointment a ‘pivotal step’ in its ‘ongoing commitment’ to growing in the ‘rapidly expanding North American market’.
“The United States digital payments market is growing at a very fast pace and this presents a great opportunity for Skrill,” said Siegfried Heimgaertner, Chief Executive Officer for Skrill Holdings.
“With the appointment of a Chief Executive Officer who has significant experience in this market, we are well placed to take advantage of that opportunity and can continue to grow our business as well as deliver value to our partners.”
Steinhardt has also worked as Products and Services Vice-President for Via One and Product Management Vice-President for IPP of America with Skrill Holdings declaring that this ‘valuable payment processing experience’ will be ‘crucial’ in his new role as Chief Executive Officer of its New York-based operations in the United States.
“This is an opportunity to work with one of the most forward-looking companies in the payment space,” said Steinhardt.
“This move comes at a great time with the success Skrill is already experiencing in the United States market. I am looking forward to continuing to leverage the scale that we have in Europe to make a positive impact in the United States market.”
