Rugby Union: Warburton named Lions captain
Wales flanker Sam Warburton has been named as the British and Irish Lions captain ahead of this summer's tour of Australia.
Head coach Warren Gatland announced his 37-man squad on Tuesday morning, with 15 players from Wales, 10 Englishmen, nine Irish and three Scots making up the 2013 Lions. England captain Chris Robshaw and Toulon's Jonny Wilkinson both failed to make the squad. Gatland feels Warburton is the ideal candidate to lead the Lions on their summer tour. He said: "For the last two or three years, he has been the most successful captain in the northern hemisphere. "It's a fantastically strong squad but if I think about naming the team tomorrow, Sam would be one of the players in there. He leads from the front." The Lions are 4/6 to win the tour Down Under with bet365, while they are 3/1 to secure a 3-0 series win, and the Wallabies can be backed at 13/10 to come out on top.
