Rugby Union: Lancaster promises more good rugby

England head coach Stuart Lancaster has backed his side to continue playing solid but entertaining rugby when they face Australia on Saturday.

The match will provide England with their first real test of the autumn after they thrashed Fiji 54-12 at the weekend, playing with verve and tenacity in the process. England are 4/11 with bet365 to beat Australia while the Wallabies can be backed at 11/5 to win at Twickenham. "You have a unique game-plan for each side but generally we want to play good rugby," said Lancaster. "You don't just win rugby games by throwing the ball around, it's about set-piece, good defence, turning the ball over and counter-attacking well." Australia are in some disarray after going down 33-6 to France in the first match of their northern hemisphere tour.
