Rugby Union: Cockerill up for Toulon test
Leicester's director of rugby Richard Cockerill believes his side can spring an upset away to Toulon in the Heineken Cup, with the Tigers 7/2 with bet365 to win Sunday's quarter-final.
The Tigers needed a narrow 9-5 win over Toulouse in their final pool game to book their place in the last eight, while Toulon powered through with five wins out of six to top Pool 6. Cockerill, though, believes that there is enough quality and spirit in the Leicester camp to push the big-spending French outfit all the way. He said: "The boys have earned the right to be in the quarter-final, so they'll go and enjoy the experience and have a crack. "We'll go there and give it our best shot against a world-class club side who can buy who they like and we'll see what happens." Leicester have a formidable pedigree in the Heineken Cup, having won the trophy twice and lost in the final on three further occasions.
