Rugby League: Richards targets farewell silverware
Pat Richards hopes to end his Wigan Warriors career on a high note before heading home to Australia to re-join Wests Tigers.
Richards has agreed a two-year deal with the NRL outfit and will leave Wigan at the end of the current Super League season, with the Warriors 2/1 with bet365 to win the Grand Final. Aussie winger Richards has been instrumental in helping Wigan win both the Grand Final and the Challenge Cup during his seven years with the club and would like to end on yet another high note. Richards told the club's official website: "I have been extremely fortunate to achieve the successes I have with Wigan with the team and individually. "I am hoping I can end my time here in England with more silverware to come this season." Next up for Richards and Wigan is a Super League showdown with Hull FC on Friday evening.
