Opta Stats: Reading v Liverpool

13Apr 2013

England - Premier League

Reading look doomed and the Premier League fixture list doesn't get any easier for them, as Liverpool come into town.

Liverpool have won four of their previous five league meetings with the Royals, all played in the Barclays Premier League, though they did lose their last trip to the Madejski in December 2007. Reading are 7.8 to make it two wins in a row.

In nine previous clashes with the Reds in all competitions, Reading have never managed a clean sheet. Liverpool are 1.11 to score a goal.

Reading have lost seven successive Premier League games, just one short of their top-flight record of eight straight defeats. A Liverpool win can be backed at 1.5.

The Reds have scored in their last 10 away league games, the longest current run of its kind in the top-flight. Reading are a distant 8.8 to keep a clean sheet and prevent an eleventh for Liverpool.

Reading have lost eight games in a row in all competitions; a club record. They are now 1.42 to finish rock bottom.

Hal Robson-Kanu is the only Reading player to have scored in any of the Royals' last six Premier League games (also one own goal). Robson-Kanu is 5.0 to score again.

Liverpool have won four of their last 13 away league games (D5 L4). You can lay Liverpool at 1.51.

Reading have conceded the first goal on 20 occasions this season; more than any other team. Liverpool are 1.36 to score a goal.

Liverpool have attempted 435 shots this season, a league-high, but 249 of them have been off target, another league-high. The Reds are 2.02 to score in both halves.
