US Open champion Andy Murray is focusing on being fit and ready for Wimbledon after being forced to pull out of the French Open due to back problems.

Murray, who is 9/4 with bet365 to win Wimbledon this summer, has been unable to recover from an injury aggravated during the recent Rome Masters in time to feature at Roland Garros. "It's been a really tough decision and I love playing in Paris, but after seeking medical advice I'm not fit to compete," "Now my complete focus is on getting back on the court as soon as possible." Murray enjoyed plenty of success at SW19 last year, reaching the final of Wimbledon before losing in four sets to Roger Federer. A matter of weeks later he won an Olympic gold medal at the same venue, gaining revenge on Federer with a straight sets final victory, having seen off Novak Djokovic in the last four.
