Murray sees off Dimitrov threat
Andy Murray was pleased to see the back of Grigor Dimitrov by securing his place in the fourth round of the 2013 Miami Masters.
The reigning US Open champion lost his serve twice in a sluggish start against the up-and-coming world number 32 before eventually establishing a foothold in the game to take the first set in a tie-break. Questions have been asked about whether Dimitrov has the mental strength to see off the men's elite and the fact that he has now won only one of 11 games against top-10 opponents is certain to reignite the debate. The life appeared to drain from the 21-year-old Bulgarian when he failed to take the first set and British number one Murray was able to take control before closing out 7-6 (7-3) 6-3. "Grigor's a very talented player," Murray said. "He's really breaking through at the moment and making life difficult for all the top guys so I'm very happy to come through." Murray will face Italian world number 19 Andreas Seppi in the next round, and, if he wins this tournament, will move to number two in the world rankings, ahead of Roger Federer. Seppi is quoted at 10/1 by bet365 to take the scalp of Murray, who is available to back at 1/10. The Scot is also priced at 12/5 to win the tournament.
