Murray a major doubt for Paris
Andy Murray, 12/1 with bet365 to win the French Open, says that he is a major doubt for Roland Garros due to an ongoing back problem.
Murray was forced to retire during his second-round match with Marcel Granollers at the Rome Masters, before confirming that he will decide on his participation in Paris in the next week. He told reporters: "As it is, I'd be very surprised if I was playing in Paris. I'll make a decision…after the next five days I would have thought. "Until Madrid it had been okay, but it's not been perfect for a long period. It's been here since the end of 2011 pretty much." The French Open gets underway on Sunday 26th May, with Murray's previous best showing having come in 2011, when he reached the semi-finals. Having reached the last four, Murray was beaten in straight sets by Rafael Nadal, who went on to defeat Roger Federer in the final.
