Michu misses key Wigan clash

Wigan Athletic can move out of the Premier League relegation zone with a win at home to Swansea City on Tuesday, and the visitors will be without leading scorer Michu for the game.

The Spaniard has scored 17 top-flight goals in his first season in England, but is unlikely to feature again this term due to a hamstring problem. This news will come as a major boost to the Latics, who are 4/5 to win the clash at the DW Stadium and move out of the bottom three with just two subsequent games to play. However, Wigan have injury problems of their own, with a groin injury meaning that left-back Maynor Figueroa is unlikely to play again this season, while Jean Beausejour suffered a hamstring problem in the 3-2 win at West Brom at the weekend. Better news comes with Antolin Alcaraz likely to be fit after hamstring trouble of his own to bolster a Latics backline which has not kept a clean sheet in their last five games.
