Martinez pleased despite injury woes

Wigan Athletic manager Roberto Martinez has a host of injury problems as he steps up his preparations for this weekend's clash against Arsenal.

Adrian Lopez could be out for two months with a hamstring tear, while Ben Watson (broken leg), Ryo Miyaichi (ankle) and Albert Crusat (knee) are all on the long-term injury list. James McCarthy, Gary Caldwell, Antolin Alcaraz and Ivan Ramis are facing a race to make themselves available for the visit of the north Londoners to the DW Stadium for a game Wigan, 11/8 with bet365 to be relegated this season, are 16/1 to win 1-0. Martinez said: "When you're coping with seven or eight players missing, very important players and four in the same position, that's quite unique.
