Jones wants to get job done

England - Premier League

Phil Jones has said he and his Manchester United team-mates will not waver in their efforts to win a record 20th domestic title.

The Premier League leaders twice had to come from behind against West Ham on Wednesday to settle for a 2-2 draw at the Boleyn Ground. The result - coupled by a 1-0 win for Manchester City against Wigan - means the Old Trafford club lead the Premier League table by 12 points. That could be reduced again if Roberto Mancini's men beat Tottenham on Sunday and United's local rivals also have a game in hand. Sir Alex Ferguson's side now need a maximum of six points from the remaining five games to be crowned champions and Jones is keen to get the job done - starting against Aston Villa at Old Trafford on Monday. United are quoted 1/4 in the match betting, with the draw on offer at 5/1 and victory for Paul Lambert's relegation-threatened side priced 9/1. "Definitely," he replied, when asked by MUTV if he was still confident of Premier League glory. "We've been confident throughout the season and nothing is going to change now." He added: "We've got a big game against Aston Villa on Monday night and I'm sure, if we can pick up three points there, it will stand us in great stead for Arsenal [the following Sunday]."
