John Higgins: 8.6

Provisional World Ranking: 3

Masters form 2008-12: L16/S/L16/L16/S

In a Masters line-up wierdly lacking O'Sullivan, Hendry and Davis, the Wizard of Wishaw is the most prolific winner on show. Though a twice former champion, the Masters has been the least productive triple-crown event for Higgins, who hasn't reached a London final for seven years. Nevertheless, that record doesn't reflect his' status in the game and on this season's evidence, Higgins remains a frontline candidate for every event and the world number one spot. After a poor 2011/12 season by his lofty standards, Higgins has bounced back with two ranking titles, beating Judd Trump in both finals. In their classic Shanghai Masters encounter, Higgins overhauled a 7-2 deficit and knocked in a 147.
