Home and Away: Azrudin's side worth the risk against Landskrona
Jonno Turner wraps up warm and takes us to Scandinavia for his two Home and Away picks this evening...
We're off to Sweden for our first pick this Bank Holiday Monday - and in-form Assyriska welcome Landskrona to the Sodertalje Fotbollsarena, looking to extend their unbeaten run in front of their own fans to nine outings.
Valentic Azrudin's side have started the new campaign with a bang, and go into this clash sitting third in the Superettan, just five points off leaders Falkenberg - a gap they will be looking to close, by taking maximum points from this clash.
The hosts already look set for a large improvement on last season's eighth placed finish - as long as they can maintain their early momentum, and Azrudin will know that their home form is key to that success.
And 12 goals scored in their last five on their own patch suggests that the Sodertalje club are well equipped to punish their visitors, who line up for this clash in miserable form, with just one win from seven.
Di Randage sit 11th in the table following that poor start, just four points off the bottom of the division - and are in desperate need of three points.
But half a dozen away games without a win will have knocked morale in the visitors camp, and four goals shipped with none scored in their last two away from the Landskrona IP suggests that they may struggle here.
Bet 1: Assyriska (HOME) @ 1.66
Switching our attentions to Iceland now, as Stjarnan travel to Fram in the Urvalsdeild.
The visitors go into this clash sitting fifth in the table, and are unbeaten in their last three ahead of this encounter - with two wins and a draw.
A victory in their last game on the road at Fylkir will have boosted morale in the away camp, and boss Logi Olafsson will be keen for his side to build on that three points by securing another positive result here.
The Stjornuvollur side have bounced back well from an opening day defeat - and five goals scored in their last three outings indicates that they are well equipped in the final third to hurt their hosts here.
Fram line up on their own patch for this game occupying eighth place in the table, and with just five points from their opening four outings, will be keen to get three points on the board here.
But three without a win will be ringing alarm bells down at the Laugardalsvollur, and gaffer Porvaldur Orlygsson will be desperate for his charges to arrest that slump this evening.
History certainly favours the visitors in this tie - and Stjarnan have not lost in five appearances against Fram, which suggests that they are well worth a small back at 2.48.
Bet 2: Stjarnan (AWAY) @ 2.48
