Golf: Tiger hopes to draw level with Snead
Tiger Woods is looking to equal a record set by Sam Snead 48 years ago by winning this week's Arnold Palmer Invitational.
Woods is hoping to retain the title he won for a seventh time at Bay Hill 12 months ago and become only the second man to secure a USPGA Tour event on eight occasions. Snead won the Greater Greensboro Open eight times between 1936 and 1965. Woods is 3/1 with bet365 to win the Arnold Palmer Invitational once again this week, while Phil Mickelson is available at 18/1. Woods, who will return to number one in the world rankings if he can emerge victorious at Bay Hill, said: "Sam Snead managed to keep winning for almost 30 years. Even when he was well into his early 50s he won. "It hasn't been easy but, over the course of time, I've put myself in with a chance of winning so many times that I'd hope I'd cash in a few times along the way."
