Golf: Improving Rise eyes a Major
World number four Justin Rose is confident that he can challenge for a first Major title after enjoying a superb 2012.
The 32-year-old Englishman has risen up the rankings on the back of his fine recent form, with Rose coming within two shots of denying Rory McIlroy at the season-ending DP World Tour Championship last weekend. Now Rose, 4/1 with bet365 to win his first Major in 2013, is determined to carry on the good work Rose said: "This has been my most consistent year ever. I've had 13 top tens and I've won a WGC. If you look at that progression in terms of events I've been able to win, it leads you to a Major. "It doesn't mean a Major is going to happen and it doesn't mean I'm solely focused on a Major, but I still think I can become a prolific winner. "I definitely want to be fully prepared for the Majors next year."
