Ferguson predicts further glory

England - Premier League

Retiring Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is confident that he will leave a club well-positioned to continue its dominance of English football.

Ferguson will step aside at the end of the season after more than 26 years in charge at Old Trafford and he has no doubts that United will continue to challenge for honours without him, with the Red Devils 15/8 with bet365 to win the 2013/14 Premier League title. He told his club's official website: "It was important to me to leave an organisation in the strongest possible shape and I believe I have done so. "The quality of this league-winning squad, and the balance of ages within it, bodes well for continued success at the highest level whilst the structure of the youth set-up will ensure that the long-term future of the club remains a bright one." Everton boss David Moyes and former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho, currently in charge of Real Madrid, are the leading candidates to succeed Ferguson at Old Trafford.
