World number one Novak Djokovic is eyeing up victory at the French Open after laying down a marker by beating Rafael Nadal in the final of the Monte Carlo Masters.

Djokovic downed the eight-time defending champion 6-2 7-6 and already has high hopes that he can complete a full set of Grand Slam titles by triumphing at Roland Garros. "Of course, I want to win Roland Garros, that's no secret," Djokovic said after his Monte Carlo success. "But I need to keep on having the right positive mindset for the next tournaments that are also very important and just try to stay healthy." Djokovic, who is 6/4 with bet365 to win the French Open, has reached the semi-finals at Roland Garros on three occasions, as well as making it all the way to the final 12 months ago. Nadal stopped Djokovic's bid for glory with a 6-4 6-3 2-6 7-5 victory, in a final which finished on a Monday after a rain delay.
