Darts: Lewis in line for a treble
Adrian Lewis goes in search of a third straight title when the PDC World Darts Championship gets underway at Alexandra Palace on Friday.
Lewis, who is 11/1 with bet365 to retain his title, starts out against Gino Vos and is excited by the chance to complete a notable hat-trick, but wary of the threat of the young Dutchman. "Gino's a really good young player, so it will be a tough game to start the tournament, but I'm feeling great," said Lewis. "I'm really excited." Meanwhile, fourth seed Gary Anderson expects the title to be won by either Phil Taylor or Michael van Gerwen, who is 9/2 to secure his first world crown. He added: "It's got to be Van Gerwen and Taylor. "You can never write Phil off as he's won it 15 times. "Van Gerwen's playing well, but someone could play better than him on the day, so we'll see who wins it."
