Cross-Sport Multiple: Everton to edge out stubborn Stoke

Andrew Hughes thinks Everton can beat Stoke City in a low scoring affair at Goodison Park and help land a Saturday cross-sport multiple in the process.

Betfair now gives you the facility to mix and match your multiples across a huge range of sports and markets with the easy-to-use betslip and so each weekend I've been  putting together a cross-sport treble with the aim of showing the way to maximise your profits.

Bet 1: Back Everton to beat Stoke at 1.55

Two wins in two games have revived Everton's European hopes and they can grind out another three points at the expense of Stoke on Saturday.

The home side will be without Marouane Fellaini and Stephen Pienaar, but even a reshuffled Everton team should have enough to overcome Stoke, who are on a long run of  poor form. On 34 points, with nine teams below them, Stoke are in no realistic danger of being sucked into the relegation battle, and have little to play for.

Tony Pulis' side has lost seven of their ten Premier League fixtures in 2013 and have been particularly bad away from home, winning just once all season, and losing  their last five games on the road. Games between these teams are rarely pretty, but Everton should be able to edge this one.

Bet 2: Back Leicester to beat Northampton at 2.05

The pick of the Round 19 games in the Aviva Premiership is the East Midlands derby at Franklin's Gardens. Leicester are second in the table, four points ahead of  Northampton and a victory for the Tigers would boost their hopes of getting a home tie in the play-off semi-finals.

Saints are in good form at the moment. Their bonus point win over Wasps last weekend was their fourth victory in a row and helped maintain their advantage over  Gloucester in the battle for the last play-off spot.

But Leicester's form is also solid. Their victory at Exeter last weekend was their seventh in nine games and they have the best away form in the league, having picked  up 27 points on the road. Most significantly, they have the edge on their local rivals, having won the last six meetings with Saints. Back the Tigers to prevail.

Bet 3: Back Serena Williams to beat Maria Sharapova at 1.3

After winning at Indian Wells, Maria Sharapova is bidding to be the third woman ever to claim both of March's major events in the same year, when she plays in her  fifth Miami Masters final on Saturday. She was in tremendous form as she cruised past Jelena Jankovic 6-2, 6-1 on Thursday and if she was playing anyone else in the  final, would be the overwhelming favourite.

Unfortunately, her opponent is Serena Williams. Serena has won this tournament five times and if she wins this year, will become only the fourth woman ever to win the  same event on six occasions. It's hard to see how Sharapova can stop that happening.

She won two of the first three matches she ever played against Serena, but the last of those was in 2004. Since then they have met ten times and on each occasion, the  American has prevailed. Back Serena to make it eleven on Saturday
