24Dec 2012

India great Sachin Tendulkar has decided to call time on his ODI career as he looks to focus on prolonging his Test career with the national side.

The 39-year-old, also known as 'The Little Master', has notched up almost 18,500 runs for India, who can be backed at 4/1 to win the 2015 World Cup with bet365. After an outstanding spell with the national side in the 50-over form of the game, Tendulkar has thanked the Indian supporters for backing him since his debut back in 1989. He said: "I feel blessed to have fulfilled the dream of being part of a World Cup wining Indian team. "The preparatory process to defend the World Cup in 2015 should begin early and in right earnest. I would like to wish the team all the very best for the future. "I am eternally grateful to all my well wishers for their unconditional support and love over the years."
