England captain Alastair Cook has hailed Graeme Swann for his superb bowling performance in their win over New Zealand at Headingley on Tuesday.

The world-class spin bowler took ten wickets in the second Test to secure a 2-0 series victory for the hosts, despite Tuesday's play being heavily delayed due to rain in Leeds. England, who are 8/15 with bet365 to win Friday's one-day international at Lord's against New Zealand, have been massively boosted by the return of Swann following an elbow injury and Cook has been quick to praise the bowler. He said: "He was outstanding in this game and to get ten wickets at Headingley for the first time in 40 years is a great achievement "He is a world-class spinner. With operations you never quite know. The rhythm of bowling has been there in the nets but he was put under pressure bowling to win a game on a turning pitch for England."
