Stuart Broad and Jos Buttler were the stars of the show as England began their tour of New Zealand with a 46-run Twenty20 victory over a New Zealand XI.

England's T20 captain Broad took a hat-trick while Jos Buttler smashed 57 runs off 24 balls as the tourists eased to victory. England amassed an impressive 186-3 in their 20 overs thanks largely to Buttler and Eoin Morgan, who scored 48. The New Zealand XI were never up with the rate once Chris Woakes had taken the early wickets of both openers - Hamish Rutherford and Anton Devcich - and Broad wrapped up the innings by taking the wickets of Andrew Ellis, Ian Buttler and Matt Henry with the first three balls of the 19th over. England are 8/15 with bet365 to win Wednesday's T20 match between the two teams while the New Zealand XI are available at 6/4 to emerge victorious.
