Cricket: Cook relishing New Zealand clash

England captain Alastair Cook is looking forward to facing New Zealand after his side missed out on the chance to qualify for the semi-finals of the Champions Trophy with one game to go by losing to Sri Lanka.

England would have reached the last four of a tournament they can be backed at 6/1 with bet365 to win, if they had beaten Sri Lanka but they contrived to slump to a seven-wicket defeat instead. They have another chance to reach the semi-finals if they can see off New Zealand in Cardiff on Sunday. England are 8/13 to beat the Black Caps. Cook said: "I am not too disappointed; clearly we had an opportunity to get into the semi-finals and we did not quite take it. But we have got another one in our next game."
