Cricket: Clarke to miss Black Caps clash
Michael Clarke will miss Australia's Champions Trophy game against New Zealand after failing to recover from a troublesome back injury.
The Baggy Greens captain, who missed the defeat to England, is reported to have made good progress from the injury in the last few days, but has still not been able to return to training. "Michael is continuing to have intensive treatment in London and, while he is making good progress, he has not improved sufficiently enough to play the game against New Zealand on Wednesday," confirmed Australia physio Alex Kountouris. "We will continue to monitor his progress and determine his availability for next week's final group game against Sri Lanka." Australia, 11/1 with bet365 to win the Champions Trophy, can be backed at 4/6 to beat New Zealand.
