Coyle confirmed as Martinez's successor
Wigan Athletic have named the former St Johnstone, Bolton Wanderers and Burnley boss Owen Coyle as their new manager.
The 46-year-old Scot, who guided Bolton to the FA Cup semi-finals in 2011, has been without a club since he was axed by Wanderers eight months ago. Coyle succeeds Roberto Martinez as Latics boss following the Spaniard's decision to move to Everton. Wigan, who won the FA Cup final in May and will be playing in the Europa League next term, can be backed at 12/1 with bet365 to secure the Championship title in the 2013-14 season and at 4/1 to be promoted.
