Club comes first, Terry insists
Chelsea captain John Terry says he has no issue being used sparingly by interim manager Rafael Benitez.
The Stamford Bridge favourite scored two goals in a 3-0 win against west London rivals Fulham on Wednesday in only his third start for the club in 2013. The 32-year-old was not involved in the FA Cup semi-final defeat to Manchester City and the former England captain says he has had to accept the squad rotation policy favoured by Benitez. "There will be no frustrations publicly," said Terry. "Naturally, everyone is disappointed if they don't play football matches. We all want to be on the field, but unfortunately with a big squad that's not always the case." He added: "[Squad rotation] is very different but it's important I maintain my sharpness in training and I'm ready when called upon." Chelsea will continue their push for a coveted Champions League place when they travel to take on Benitez's old club Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday. The west Londoners can be backed at 1/6 to finish in the top four and 8/13 in the Premier League winner W/O Manchester United and Manchester City market.
