Chelsea slight favourites following fourth round draw

FA Cup

A trio of Premier League giants are tough to split in the market as draw gives them straightforward routes through to the latter stages...

A kindly draw means Chelsea head the betting at 5.6 in Betfair's FA Cup winner market ahead of the two Manchester clubs.

With a trip to either Southend or Brentford awaiting, holders Chelsea will be confident of a smooth passage into the fifth round.

Provided Manchester United negotiate their way past West Ham (110.0 to win the Cup) in their third round replay at Old Trafford, it will be either Fulham or Blackpool to come in a home tie for the Reds. United are 6.6 to win the trophy again this year.

Rivals Manchester City will go to either Crystal Palace or Stoke, who fought out a 0-0 draw in south London on Saturday. City are second favourites at 5.9.

The market is struggling to split the north London giants at 9.8 with trips to Championship clubs awaiting. Arsenal drew 2-2 with Swansea today and the winner of that replay will go to Brighton, who defeated Newcastle on Saturday, while Spurs must wait for Leeds and Birmingham to play their replay before they know exactly who they'll be playing in the fourth round.

Macclesfield Town pulled off the shock of the third round when dumping Cardiff out of the Cup, and their reward is a potential meeting with Premier League opposition in the shape of Wigan Athletic or League One's Bournemouth in the next round. Luton, who beat Wolves yesterday, travel to Norwich (40.0).

Oldham, conquerors of Nottingham Forest, will almost certainly face Liverpool while Everton will play either Bolton or Sunderland provided they get past Cheltenham on Monday night.
