Cech takes up the challenge

Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech says that he and his fellow players must help new manager Rafa Benitez become a success with the European champions.

Benitez started his Stamford Bridge reign with a goalless draw against Manchester City at the weekend, with the Blues quickly moving on to the Wednesday visit of Fulham. With his side 4/9 with bet365 to secure a win over the Cottagers, Cech told reporters: "We want to put things right. We want to do the right things for the new manager. A draw against the champions was a start, we have something to build on. "Everybody is responsible for the results. As players, we feel the responsibility because we are responsible for the manager leaving." With a change of methods from previous boss Roberto Di Matteo likely to be put in place by Benitez, Cech has urged the Blues squad to adapt, adding: "You are here to play, to do what the club and the manager wants you to do. If you don't like it, you can leave."
