Britton eyes Wembley glory
Leon Britton is hoping he can help Swansea City win their first major trophy later this month after agreeing a new three-and-a-half-year contract at the Liberty Stadium.
The 30-year-old has played a huge part in the Swans' meteoric rise from the fourth tier of English football to the Premier League since joining them in December 2002. Britton has now made more than 400 appearances for the South Wales outfit and is keen to taste victory in the Capital One Cup final against League Two side Bradford City. The Swans are 1/6 with bet365 to win the Wembley final, while Bradford can be backed at 9/2 to clinch the trophy. "I know I've said it before, but I'd love nothing more than to finish my career here," said Britton. "We've established ourselves in our second season in the Premier League and we're now looking forward to our first major cup final."
