Big Saturday Multiple: Latics to move three points closer to safety

Jonno Turner selects three picks to bring home the bacon this afternoon, in his Big Saturday Multiple...

We're off to League Two for our first pick of the day - as in-form Bristol Rovers welcome struggling York City to the Memorial Ground.

The hosts go into this one on the back of some impressive results - and have won their last four on their own patch, scoring nine and conceding just one goal in that  time.

John Ward's side will be desperate to maintain that positive record in this clash, as they face a York side still in the bottom two - and looking increasingly  desperate in the race for survival.

The Minstermen appointed Nigel Worthington at the helm to try and stem their run of poor results, but he has not yet managed to turn their form around - and they line  up for this encounter without a win since New Year's Day.

That miserable run consists 15 games, and just one goal scored in their last three suggests that the visitors may lack the required quality in the final third to save  themselves this season.

York have lost their last two away from Bootham Crescent - and in the bigger picture, have not won a game on the road since early December last year.

Bet 1: [bf]Bristol Rovers (HOME) @ 1.95

To Suffolk now, as Ipswich host Leeds United at Portman Road, looking to extend their record of four wins from five home games.

Mick McCarthy's side have been impressive in front of their own fans of late, and four clean sheets from five underlines just how dominant the Tractorboys have been in  recent weeks.

Those results have moved the hosts four points away from the drop zone, and they will be keen to maintain that form in order to put further space between themselves  and the relegation places here.

Leeds travel east without a win in four, and boss Neil Warnock will be hoping that his side can engineer something of a turn around in order to improve on their  current league position of 11th.

But the West Yorkshire side have not won away from Elland Road in nine games, and that will have knocked confidence in the visitors camp.

Just three goals scored in their last five on the road shows how unproductive Warnock's side have been lately, and I reckon that lack of threat up top could cost them  against an Ipswich side full of momentum.

Bet 2: Ipswich (HOME) @ 2.15

Over to Wigan for our final selection of the day - and Roberto Martinez' side welcome Norwich to the DW Stadium, aiming to continue a miraculous escape from  relegation.

The Latics currently occupy the final dropzone place, but have played a game less than nearest rivals Aston Villa, and three points in this clash would be a massive  boost to their survival chances.

And four wins from their last five will certainly have the home side confident ahead of this clash.

With three tough away games on the horizon, Martinez will know just how important this game is for his side, and I expect the hosts to come out all guns blazing this  afternoon.

Visitors Norwich travel to Greater Manchester having won just one of their last 10 games - and Chris Hughton's side are not yet safe despite sitting in a relatively  comfortable 12th place.

Just seven points separates the Canaries from trouble, and a defeat here could see the relegation picture change very quickly.

But just one goal scored, and 10 conceded, in their last four away from Carrow Road suggests that the visitors are suffering from travel sickness ahead of this one,  and that could play a major part in what is likely to be a hard-fought encounter.

Bet 3: Wigan Athletic (HOME) @ 1.9
