Berlusconi reveals Messi plan
Lionel Messi will have to be man-marked if AC Milan are to have any hope of upsetting Barcelona in the Champions League round of 16, according to club president Silvio Berlusconi.
The record-breaking Argentinian superstar and his Camp Nou team-mates make the trip to Italy on Wednesday in a glamour fixture between two European giants. The Serie A club have recovered from a poor start domestically to climb to fourth in the race for the Scudetto, having lost just once since the middle of November, but face a monumental test of their credentials against the Catalans and can be backed at 6/1 with bet365 to qualify. Key to their chances will be stopping Messi, who is priced 5/4 in the Champions League top-scorer betting, and Berlusconi was keen to pass on his advice to coach Massimiliano Allegri. "It will be very difficult to beat Barcelona," he told RTL 102.5. "I still haven't found the time to talk to boss Allegri, but I won't tell him what side to pick - I've never done that." He added: "I know the role of the president and that of the coach - I respect those - but a president has the right to give advice to his coach. "On this occasion my suggestion would be that Messi is man-marked."
