Barry bids to end season with a flourish

England - Premier League

Gareth Barry has promised that Manchester City will continue to do everything they can to end the season in style.

The former Aston Villa star admits that Manchester United are unlikely to fail in their quest to win this season's Premier League title even after Roberto Mancini's men secured a fine 2-1 victory at Old Trafford on Monday. The gap at the top of the table is now 12 points and, while United visit Stoke City for a Premier League clash this weekend, City travel to Wembley to take on Chelsea in the semi-finals of the FA Cup. Manchester City are 7/5 with bet365 to beat Chelsea while Rafa Bentiez's side are 11/10 to reach next month's FA Cup final. Barry insists: "The dressing room was a great place to be after the United game. Not many teams go to Old Trafford and win like that. "We have now done that two years on the trot which is great for us and for the fans. We will press on this season until it is mathematically impossible to win the title."
