Back hosts to Get all three points in this clash

14Jan 2013

Jonno Turner aims to kick off the new week in style with two successful selections in his Home and Away column.

We're off to Spain for our first pick of the week - and Getafe host Granada at Coliseum Alfonso Perez (live on Sky Sports 1 at 19:00) looking to make it six unbeaten on their own patch.

The home side go into this one sitting in 11th place in the Primera Division, and boss Luis Garcia Plaza will be desperate for his side to continue their recent good form as the welcome their struggling guests this evening.

Three clean sheets from four outings in front of their own fans suggests that the Azulones defence is in form and more than capable of keeping out the Granada threat this evening, and I think that's a key variable in the outcome of this clash.

An impressive draw with high-flying Atletico Madrid in their last home outing will give much confidence to the hosts, and they will be keen to build on that with another three points which could lift them as high as ninth in the table.

Granada travel from Andalucia in miserable form having won just one of their last seven league games, and Juan Antonio Anquela's side will be hoping to correct a slide which has seen them lose two of their last three on the road.

El Grana have not kept a clean sheet away from Los Carmenes since April last year, and that indicates that they are unlikely to come out of this one scot-free.

The visitors are just one point off the bottom of the division, and pressure will be mounting on Anquela as his side aims to avoid dropping back to the second tier, where the away side were stuck for 35 years until 2010.

Bet 1: Getafe (HOME) @ 2.0

Over to Greece now, and we're focusing on the top flight, as Asteras Tripolis travel to bottom side Kerkyra, aiming for their ninth unbeaten in 10 games.

Three unbeaten ahead of this one sees the visitors full of momentum, and they will be keen to build on an impressive return of eight goals scored in that time as they line up in this one.

And just one loss in four away from Tripoli suggests that Sakis Tsiolis's side will be full of confidence ahead of this clash, in which a win could see them climb into third place.

Kerkyra welcome their guests to Corfu in dreadful form, and have lost four of their last five going into this encounter.

Apostolos Mantzios' side sit rock bottom of the Super League, and have not won in front of their own fans since September.

To make matters worse, the Phaiakes haven't even managed to score in five of their last six at the Kerkyra Stadium, and that will hardly have the away defence quaking in their boots.

The visitors have won the last two between these sides, and I think that they're good value for the three points here.

Bet 2: Asteras Tripolis (AWAY) @ 2.48
