Back Barnsley to dump Dons

Andrew Hughes thinks Barnsley can reach the quarter-finals of the FA Cup at the expense of Milton Keynes Dons and help land a cross-sport multiple in the process...

Betfair now gives you the facility to mix and match your multiples across a huge range of sports and markets with the easy-to-use betslip and so each weekend I've been putting together a cross-sport treble with the aim of showing the way to maximise your profits.

Bet 1: Back Barnsley to beat Milton Keynes Dons at 2.87

With a place in the FA Cup quarter-finals at stake, both these teams will be taking this game seriously, and there won't be too much squad rotation, despite the fact that they are both at a crucial stage of their respective league campaigns.

Milton Keynes Dons made headlines with their fourth round win at Loftus Road, but their League One form has been atrocious of late, and having once been secure in the top six, they have slipped so far, that the play-offs are nearly out of reach.

Barnsley are also fighting hard to climb the table, in their case, away from the Championship relegation zone, but six wins in seven games makes them one of the form teams of lower tier football. Three of the five meetings between these teams have ended in draws, but expect this one to go to the visitors.

Bet 2: Back Leicester to beat Harlequins at 2.3

Saturday's top of the table clash could go a long way towards settling this year's Aviva Premiership. Leicester's win over London Welsh last weekend took them to the top at the expense of Harlequins, who lost at home to Wasps.

Some of the England players have been released to play for their clubs, and whilst Harlequins are boosted by the return of Danny Care, Leicester can now call on key men Toby Flood, Manu Tuilagi and Thomas Waldrom.

The Tigers have struggled away from home in their last couple of games, but they have tasted victory on their last eight visits to the Stoop, and boosted by the availability of some of their England stars, they should consolidate their lead at the top of the table with a narrow victory over Quins.

Bet 3: Back Rocky Creek to win Reynoldstown Chase at 1.9

Four of the five entrants for this Grade Two for novices hold entries in the RSA Chase and the National Hunt Chase at Cheltenham, so this should be a good pointer for those looking for pre-Festival clues, as well as a fascinating race in its own right.

Rocky Creek appeared to improve significantly when winning his last race at Warwick, leading two out and pulling away smoothly for a fifteen length success. Tour Des Champs was unlucky in that race and has subsequently picked up another novice event, but overall, his form is less impressive than the favourite, and Houblon Des Obeau has struggled in three races at this kind of class.

The greatest challenge will come from Donald McCain's unbeaten Real Milan, but Rocky Creek looks like he could be a special horse and he's the solid choice.

Total Odds for this multiple: 12.54 Remember, multiple prices are based on our Fixed Odds product, so any winnings are exempt from commission.
