Al Mubarak promises more new arrivals

England - Premier League

Manchester City will carry on spending this summer even after snapping up Shakhtar Donetsk's Brazilian midfielder Fernandinho and agreeing a deal with Sevilla's Jesus Navas.

Fernandinho has spent the last eight years in Ukraine and moves to City for a transfer fee in the region of £30million. But City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak, who has already sanctioned the arrival of Navas, has confirmed that there will be more new faces at the Etihad Stadium when the 2013-14 Premier League campaign gets underway in just over two months' time. He said: "Will there be new signings? Absolutely. This is going to be a very important year for us." Manchester City, still without a manager after parting company with Roberto Mancini last month, are 9/4 with bet365 to win the 2013-14 Premier League title outright and 10/1 to clinch the Champions League.
