Against All Odds: Value in unders at the Allianz

Bajnokok Ligája

Bayern Munich and Arsenal meet in Germany this evening and while the market is predicting a bit of a goal fest, Paul Robinson isn't so sure.

The Germans won the first leg at the Emirates by three goals to one and while they looked a touch shaky for a 15 minute spell, it ended up being a comfortable victory. They are huge odds-on to qualify and long odds-on to win the match tonight and I don't envisage any surprises.

I can't see Arsenal scoring at the Allianz Arena, especially considering that one of their chief creative threats, Jack Wilshere, has been ruled out through injury, as has Lukas Podolski, who would have brought some much needed experience and guile to the forward line.

FCB conceded two goals at home on Saturday but that was just a temporary blip as before that they had kept three clean sheets out of four. In fact they've only conceded 10 goals all season in the Bundesliga and in Manuel Neuer they have one of the best goalkeepers in the world.

The Gunners haven't exactly been free scoring on the road and while they usually find a goal, they don't often play the likes of Bayern Munich. They have injuries as mentioned above and Theo Walcott quite often fails to show against top class opposition.

The most likely scores are one or two nil in my book and while we may get three goals or more, I can't be having over 2.5 at 1.6 and that's why I have to make it my lay of the day.
