Against All Odds: Profits to be made in Iceland
KR Reykjavik take on Breidablik in the Icelandic Urvalsdeild at 21:00 tonight and Paul Robinson thinks those who watch on Betfair Live Video could see the away side snatch a result.
KR Reykjavik are the most successful club in Icelandic football history. They won all three cups in 2012 but they failed to retain their league title and finished down in fourth place. It's a different story this season though as they lost the Super Cup to FH and were knocked out of the League Cup by tonight's opponents; 1-3 at home.
It's impossible to pick holes in their Urvalsdeild form however, as Rúnar Kristinsson's side have played four and won four. They've conceded just one goal to date and a draw or better this evening would see them go top. As mentioned though, Breidablik won at the KR-völlur as recently as April and they also won on their previous visit to that - a 0-4 success in September 2012.
Breidablik finished as runners up to FH last term having recorded their first ever top flight success in 2010. It's been a rapid rise of late for them and they've already added another trophy to their cabinet by winning the League Cup at the end of last month.
It's been a mixed start in the Urvalsdeild though as they've lost twice already and while the defeat to FH can possibly be excused, the 4-1 hammering they took at ÍBV is much harder to defend. Ólafur Kristjánsson's men have usually been solid on the road - two defeats from six in all competitions this season and in the league last year, they only lost a couple of times.
This is quite an evenly poised game on paper as despite KR's better form of late, Breidablik have a strong squad and appear to hold the Indian sign over them. That's why, at around the 1.96 mark, I have to make KR Reykjavik my lay of the day.
